Other new dates and schedule are as follows:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pre-conference workshop is open to faculty and graduate students from universities in Myanmar whose abstracts are submitted for the 3rd International Conference on Burma\/Myanmar Studies (ICBMS3) through the general call for papers. The 3-day pre-conference workshop targets early career\/junior university faculty, researchers and graduate students who otherwise have limited exposure to international conferences. It aims to engage them in the process of writing quality academic papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately 50 \u2013 60 abstracts from the general of call for papers will be selected by the screening committee to present the paper at the pre-conference workshop. Those who present their paper at the pre-conference workshop with a paper meeting the requisite criteria will be encouraged to present the paper at the ICBMS3 in <s>October 2020<\/s> March 2021 in Chiang Mai, Thailand with a limited travel grant provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To facilitate this process, we have put in place a separate timeframe for abstract and paper submission for this group of potential contributors.
