The Fifth International Conference on Burma/Myanmar Studies officially calls for submissions to the conference, to be held 14-16 August 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Individual abstracts, panel proposals, and roundtable proposal submissions are welcome. The deadline for abstracts, panel, and roundtable proposals is 15 February 2026.

Abstract & panel proposal submission
Interested participants should submit an abstract of 300 words maximum, along with keywords, via the online system here at the conference website. Panel proposals should be 500 words maximum. Panel descriptions should contain a 300-word abstract for each presenter
