Myanmar Army on the Ropes (2024)

Myanmar Army on the Ropes is the third of three films exploring the relationship between pro-democracy activists fighting the Burmese military junta since February 2021, and ethnic insurgents who have been battling for autonomy for many decades. The film follows key individuals from the Karen National Union (KNU) and People’s Defence Force (PDF) fighters. The film also features interviews with victims of Myanmar military abuses, who talk about their suffering and hopes for the future, as well as shots of Karen insurgent administrators, helping to organise communities in newly liberated areas. As well as rare frontline footage, the film includes the first scenes of newly liberated territories, in Karen villages which have not been under opposition control since at least the 1950s. It also includes rare footage of prisoners of war in KNU areas.

Rebuilding Lives (2024)

This short life-affirming documentary weaves the stories of two different refugees, Pi Ngun Hoi and Pu Tluang Cung, as they rebuild their lives in the borderlands between India and Burma/Myanmar. Although their journeys differ, their aim to build new homes with their families unites them. In essence, their stories represent the Chin people who have been displaced due to the airstrikes against Chin State in Burma/Myanmar.
