Myanmar Media Landscape & it’s Future Potentiality

Myanmar’s new government promised media reform when it took power, but it hasn’t happened. The government, the military, or joint ventures with them dominate Burmese media. Direct ownership, regulations, and anti-defamation provisions and other restrictive laws are used to counter the role of an independent press.
