Dr. Chayan Vaddhanaputi from the academic committee of ICBMS confirms that:
- ICBMS3 will happen onsite, in person, at Green Nimman CMU (Uniserv), in Chiang Mai, from 5-7 March 2021.
- Participants from Thailand or third countries who cannot come to Chiang Mai are invited to join us on this website, Zoom, or Facebook Live (due to limitations, not all channels will have the full schedule of panels and talks).
- Participants inside Myanmar will be given the opportunity to present their papers at a future date through online sessions. We will schedule and announce times for those sessions on this site once the political situation inside Myanmar is more stable.
- Registration for all modes of the conference, onsite or online, is free for everyone.
- ICBMS is committed to academic freedom and expression, but is also mindful of the risks to and fears of participants inside Myanmar. This format of an extended “deconstructed conference” will start in person 5-7 March but, in reality, will continue online until all registrants have had the chance to participate!
