Pre-conference Workshop 24-25 October

On 24-25 October 2020, RCSD, Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University, and the University of Mandalay organized the virtual Pre-conference Workshop as a part of the 3rd International Conference on Myanmar Burma Studies (ICBMS3). The workshop aimed to enhance academic writing skills among Myanmar scholars and graduate students who will present their papers at ICBMS3 in March 2021. Over 50 participants from 15 universities in Myanmar joined the workshop. Workshop mentors also worked individually with participants for a further two weeks online to improve papers and prepare for presentation and publication. ICBMS 3 Rescheduled for March 2021

Due to the Covid-19 virus and its impacts on worldwide health, travel, and logistics, the ICBMS 3 secretariat has decided after careful consultation with all involved parties to reschedule the 3rd International Conference on Burma/Myanmar Studies to 5-7 March of 2021. The schedule for abstract submission, selection, registration, and submission of full papers has been impacted as follows: Individual abstracts and panel proposals should be sent by 31st May 2020.
